The game Of Two Halves.
That great saying just about sums up this game with the Invincibles controlling the whole of the first half and were unlucky enough not to be at leasts 5 or 6 goals to the goal. As i8t was they came in to the break with only a slender 2-1 advantage.
the first half started well with only 10 mins on the clock some fine team work between Marcus and Craig lead to the first goal and marcus being the scorer.
We control the game at the back and some fine running and interpassing between the two forwards seemed to dazzle their defence and turn them inside out.
Unfortunately the midfield must have still though t the Aldershot Army Show was still on as they left a bigger enough gap in the Middle too park a few sherman tanks.
This lead to Aldershots equaliser with a tame goal to give away.
Marcus smashed in his and our second before the break and it look like plain sailing.
Then came the second half, Aldershot decided that they were going to have a go and played some great football, with the outstanding player being their goal keeper with some fine saves to keep his team in with a shout.
An owngoal following a freekick and goal mouth scramble lead to our 3rd.
Then came some fine play by both teams with the Invincibles having the better of the scoring chances, but sadly they went a miss.
We did put one in the back of the net but a very very late flag by the linesman lead to it being ruled offside.
We then let them back in too the game and two goals finely taken by the Aldershot strikers brought the final score to 3-3.
It was nice standing on the touch line and hearing all the subs eager to play, with such a large squad this year Phil and his team of coaches will have their work cut out.
So all in all a fine performance but we need to close the midfield down alot.
Oh and lastly Jordon keep trying your first goal by your performance today will not be far away.
