We've worked so hard this season to achieve promotion and if Aldershot do the business today then I think we should take the opportunity to play in Division2. We've earned the right to be there and I think we will be cheating ourselves if we choose to stay down.

And how stupid would we feel if we choose to stay down thinking we're gonna win the league then fcuk it up and finish mid-table?

Your right Rob i think it would be great if we went up and yeah we would be cheating ourself if we didn't, well even though Aldershot Park Rangers are our biggest rivals and we think very little of them its all down to them if we go up so fingers crossed boys!!!

It is an interesting question.

My views are simple if the team do win promotion then i believe that you must take the opportunely .

If you go up and lose evey game then at least you gave it a shot, if you stay were you are then you will always wonder.

And who says you will be the whipping boys last season you lost every game but 2 this season look at the turn around so you never know we might bounce straight out of div2 and up to div 1.

Those of us old enough will remember Wimbledon's climb from div 4 to the top flight div1 in only 4 years

You must be thinking of Milton Keynes Dons

As Wimbledon AFC have just finished the season with a lose in the semi final of the playoffs of the Ryman premier league.

I wont bore you with all the details but when the new chairman sold out they moved the team to milton keynes .

A new Wimbledon was formed by some of the players and fans and they call them selves AFC Wimbledon they play their home grounds at the kingstonain pitch.

They class themselves as the original Wimbledon as the old club died when it was moved to MK

I use to watch Wimbledon a lot as my friend got free tickets and i watched them in the old 4th division when a cheeky young player called Dennis Wise And a mad player called Vinne Jones were playing for them.

I know the vague details.

My mate has a season ticket at MK Dons and he's an ex-Wimbledon fan.

I understand why the AFCW fans did what they did, but I hate them for the way they went about it. The most bitter fans in the country, and threw their toys out the pram at Bromley the other week and started smashing up the place when they lost. Discraceful.


Anyways, back on topic...

hmmm .. i think that we maybe should take the oppurtunity to go up .. but .. as there are a few people leaving .. next season is going to be a lot of experimentation .. and i dont think we should be in division 2 .. and experimenting .. i think we should give it a season and have a very strong team .. and hopefully go up next season! .. tho rob does have a good point

yes we should because we have the players and sum of our players have already played in div 2 like me
