Post Post subject: Invincibles 2 - 8 Fleet Town Spurs
Hampshire Cup 1st round.

This again was a case of "A Game Of Two Halves."

Fleet town Spurs last year finished 4th in the premier division so it was a David and Goliath type of game.

With the game barely started fleet town broke though a massive hole in the defence, and smashed a shot against the cross bar.
Almost immediately we broke and Marcus had a good shot on goal.
The 10 minutes saw Fleet Spurs attacking and only after 15 mi8ns they were rewarded with a goal after a up and under though ball straight down the heart of the defence. It was a sloppy goal to coincide, and seemed to dishearten the Invincibles as the flood gates opened and The spurs scored a further 5 goals All the same way.

The half time team talk must have been difficult for the manger and coaches but it seemed to work.

With the second half just under way there was a massive difference to the Invincibles, as they battled and ran for every ball, and were reward when a fine though ball fell to Marcus who coolly slotted passed the advancing keeper.

With the spirit up the Invincibles worked hard and played a much better and even scored a second when some fine foot work form Jordon foiled their defence and keeper as he blasted his first goal for the Invincibles into the net.

Fleet Spur responded with two late goals to wrap up 8- 2 victory.

The Invincibles have never in their short history won a cup game and were in no means likely too with their first half performance, being second to every ball and leaving a gap in defence wide enough to park the coach in.
However if going by their second half performance and spirit they should walk away with some pride.
